Go the extra mile.

In today’s economy there’s no shortage of price wars. You often may see a race to the bottom where businesses viciously compete to undercut each other in hopes of scoring some desperately needed sales.

Sadly, nobody wins in these situations. As Seth Godin explained, the problem with the race to the bottom is that you might win. Companies unknowingly run themselves out of business, or charge barely enough for their products and services to keep their heads above water.

So how do you get out of that rut and change the context of the relationships you have with your clients? By going the extra mile for them. Find ways to add value to what you’re offering them, hopefully without it costing extra money.

Here are some ideas: 1. Over and above clean-up after jobs. 2. Sharing helpful follow up info such as these emails you receive. 3. Asking customers how else you can serve them. (Maybe an elderly person needs help finding someone to mow their lawn)

Don’t devalue your offer to the world by cutting its price. Respect yourself and have confidence in your products and services. If you do that, your customers will respect and have confidence in you! Meaning they’ll become a repeat customer that doesn’t price shop! And if a prospect doesn’t respect your prices, they wouldn’t be a good customer anyway.

A higher amount of repeat business absolutely adds value to your business' appraisal! Are you ready to sell your business? Give me a call today.
