Gain influence.
People don't trust like they used to. Handshake deals are becoming a thing of the past, and for good reason. There's so many people out to make a quick buck, because in today's day in age, you often can! Or people may find themselves to be so busy that they can't follow through on what was promised. Either way, it's easy for us an entrepreneurs to lose the confidence of or the influence we have over the people around us if we're not careful.
But there's one thing you need to do to maintain people's confidence in you and the influence you have in their life: keep your word. Be careful with the words you use, and do what you say you're going to do. It's a very simple concept, but often times extremely hard to do.
Your words and your actions make up who you are to other people. If they do not align with each other, customers won't stick around very long, and neither will employees. If they do align, you'll be sure to position yourself as someone who other people want to follow!
