A lot of entrepreneurs live in the future. It’s easy to get caught up in what could be.

A lot of entrepreneurs live in the past. It’s easy to get caught up in mistakes that have been made.

But all we truly have is the present. The past is gone and never coming back. The future is coming, but there’s nothing we can do to make it come faster. This is why you must take full advantage of the present.

By focusing on the present you can make up for past mistakes. By focusing on the present you can position yourself for a better future. The best thing you can do for your past or future is to dominate the thing in front of you.

A major key to having no regrets is to be completely present and involved with wherever you are. If you’re at work, give 100% focus. When you’re with your spouse, be 100% focused. With the kids, same thing. On vacation or a day off, same thing.

Do not worry about what has happened. Do not worry about what will happen. Focus on winning today. And by doing that you’ll rectify past mistakes and position yourself for whatever may happen in the future.
